CBC Test in Karachi

A complete blood count measures major blood-cell components and is commonly used as part of routine health assessment or when a doctor is checking for conditions such as anemia or infection.

What does a CBC measure?

A CBC counts and describes red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. It also reports measurements such as hemoglobin, hematocrit and average red-cell size.

Why may a doctor request it?

  • As part of a routine checkup or general health assessment.
  • To help investigate symptoms or monitor conditions affecting blood cells.
  • To support assessment of anemia, infection, immune conditions or treatment effects.

Preparation and result interpretation

The CCL directory lists no fasting requirement for CBC. If other tests are ordered with it, different preparation may apply. Abnormal values do not by themselves confirm a diagnosis; a doctor should interpret the pattern with symptoms and medical history.
